Many of our Adult & Teen Challenge centers offer The Carpenter’s Shop Vocational Training for our residents and apprentices. The following is taught under the tutelage of master carpenters at the following Men’s centers: Massachusetts – Brockton, Massachusetts -Worcester, New Jersey, Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire. 

• Handcrafting premium hardwood cutting, charcuterie, cheese boards, butcher block, sushi table boards, coasters, pizza peels, rolling pins, and redeemed boards
• Custom wood products
• Carpentry skills, woodworking basics
• Production, finish and finalization of products
• Use and cleaning of shop equipment and tools
• Maintaining safety of machine and power tool operations
• Meeting goals and deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Opportunity to learn design through “Redeemed” product line
• Inventory management
