Resident Scholarship Fund
At Adult & Teen Challenge New England and New Jersey, we believe that no one should be denied the opportunity to recover due to financial hardship. That’s why we created the Resident Scholarship Fund
to help men, women, and adolescent girls who are ready to break free from addiction but cannot
afford the cost of care.
Our long-term, faith-based residential programs provide a structured path toward freedom from addiction addressing the whole person through spiritual growth, education, counseling, vocational training,
and life skills development.
What the Resident Scholarship Covers
The annual cost per resident is approximately $50,000 depending on which center, which includes:
- Safe housing
- All Meals
- Transportation (court, probation, medical, church, recreation, and dental appointments)
- Daily essentials (clothing, hygiene, medical needs)
- Educational and academic support
- Vocational training and job readiness
- Life coaching and biblical mentoring
- Mental health counseling and recovery support
- And a whole lot of love
Levels of Giving
Your gift can help offset or fully cover the cost for a resident:
- 💛 $25,000 – Provides six months of recovery care
- 💛 $50,000 – Covers the annual cost for one resident
- 💛 $100,000 – Fully sponsors two residents for an entire year

Scholarship Recipient Criteria
Scholarships are awarded based on need and commitment.
To qualify, a recipient must:
- Be struggling with life-controlling addictions
- Be enrolled in a Adult & Teen Challenge New England and New Jersey Residential Program
- Demonstrate the worthiness of financial assistance
- Be highly recommended by their director as someone who shows positive aptitude and attitude for success
- Has a sincere desire to pursue long-term recovery and life change
